“The trip was overall very fun! Our guide picked us up in a 1976 Volkswagen convertible. Our car did not have seatbelts unfortunately so something to keep in mind. Definitely needed a jacket on the way to mount batur because it was very windy with the convertible roof down and it was cooler since it was so early. The scenery on the way there was beautiful and our guide stopped to take photos of us on the way. The hot springs was great and relaxing with amazing views. Bring bug spray for the black flies though. The black lava was really cool and we got a ton a pics there:…”

Our trekking guide told us about the history of the Volcano, and the view at the top was magnificent. We did with the hot spring, and did not regret that decision. After a hike and a long day, we enjoyed 1,5 hours in heated pools. We finished with a visit to a luwak coffee plantation, testing different teas and coffees. In total a wonderful day.”
